Why I started Blackburn Land Service

Reclaiming Overgrown Land. Restoring Its Potential.

I started Blackburn Land Service because I experienced firsthand how quickly overgrown brush and invasive vegetation can take over a property. Like many Southern Illinois landowners, I watched areas that were once open and enjoyable slowly disappear beneath thick brush, vines, and unwanted growth.

That is why I enjoy helping landowners reclaim the property they envisioned when they bought it. Whether it is creating park-like woods, opening trails, clearing shooting lanes, improving access, or preparing land for future use, every project is an opportunity to transform overgrown ground into something useful and enjoyable again.

As a locally owned and operated business, I believe in honest communication, fair pricing, and quality work. I treat each property with the same care and respect I would expect on my own land.

Why forestry mulching?

One Machine. A Cleaner Result.

Forestry mulching attacks dense vegetation where it stands and leaves a surface that is easier to walk, drive, maintain, and enjoy.

No brush piles
No open burning
Fine wood-chip finish
Less hauling
Improved property access
Minimal soil disturbance
Hunting properties

Improve Access, Visibility, and Use

Overgrown brush can limit access and make otherwise valuable hunting ground difficult to use. Strategic clearing can make the property easier to navigate while preserving desirable cover.

What Property Owners Ask

What can forestry mulching clear?

Forestry mulching is well suited for dense brush, invasive vegetation, saplings, wooded understory, field edges, and blocked trails. The best approach depends on tree size, terrain, access, and the finished result you want.

Do you take small projects?

Yes. Small jobs are welcome, including short trails, shooting lanes, access routes, and focused brush-clearing areas.

Do you haul the material away?

Forestry mulching processes vegetation where it stands and leaves the material as mulch, reducing the need for brush piles, burning, and hauling.
